Privacy Policy for Viselia

Last Updated: 15/7/2026

Welcome to Viselia, operated by Viselia (“Viselia,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and disclose information when you use our website, download our free resources, create an account, or purchase Concierge Services (collectively, the “Service”).

By using the Service, you acknowledge this Policy. Please read it before providing us with information.

1. Information We Collect

We collect information in three ways: directly from you, automatically as you use the Service, and occasionally from third parties.

1.1 Information You Provide Directly

  • Browsing our free resources. You can download checklists, cover letter templates, and country guides without creating an account or giving us any personal information.
  • Creating an account / using the portal. Name, email address, and password.
  • Purchasing Concierge Services. Contact details, your destination and visa type, travel dates, and payment information (processed by our payment provider — see Section 6).
  • Documents you choose to share with a concierge specialist. If you opt into paid document review or guidance, you may upload documents that contain personal details such as your passport information, travel history, employment details, or financial information, strictly for the purpose of that review. We only collect what’s relevant to the specific service you’ve requested — we do not require this information to use our free resources.
  • Contact us. Anything you share via email, chat, or contact forms.

1.2 Information Collected Automatically

When you visit our website, we (and our analytics/hosting providers) may automatically collect: IP address and general location inferred from it, device and browser type, referring/exit pages, pages viewed, time spent on the Service, and similar usage data. This helps us understand how the Service is used and keep it running reliably.

1.3 Cookies and Similar Technologies

We use cookies and similar tools to remember your preferences (e.g., your “travelling from / destination” selection), understand site usage, and support basic analytics. You can control cookies through your browser settings — see the help pages for Chrome, Firefox, Safari, or Edge. Blocking cookies may affect some site features.

1.4 Information From Third Parties

If you sign in via a third-party account (e.g., Google), or interact with our social media pages, we may receive limited profile information from that platform, subject to that platform’s own privacy policy — we don’t control how they handle your data.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Provide the free resources and Concierge Services you request;
  • Create and maintain your account;
  • Process payments for Concierge Services;
  • Respond to your questions and support requests;
  • Send you service-related communications (and marketing emails, if you’ve opted in);
  • Improve our checklists, guides, and processing-time data based on aggregated usage patterns;
  • Detect, prevent, and address fraud, abuse, or security issues;
  • Comply with legal obligations.

We may aggregate or de-identify information (for example, anonymized processing-time data across users) and use that de-identified data for any purpose, including improving our guides and public statistics.

3. How We Disclose Your Information

We do not sell your personal information. We may share it with:

  • Service providers. Vendors who help us operate the Service — for example, hosting providers, payment processors, and email/communications tools — under contracts that limit their use of your data to providing services to us.
  • Concierge specialists. If you purchase Concierge Services, the specific personal details and documents you provide are shared with the specialist(s) assigned to assist you, solely for that purpose.
  • Business transfers. If Viselia is involved in a merger, acquisition, or asset sale, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction.
  • Legal requirements. If required by law, legal process, or a good-faith belief that disclosure is necessary to protect our rights, your safety, or the safety of others.
  • With your consent.Any other disclosure you’ve specifically agreed to.

Unlike services that submit your visa application to an embassy on your behalf, Viselia’s core free resources don’t require us to transmit your personal or passport data to any embassy, consulate, or government processing partner — because you submit your own application directly. Concierge Services may involve sharing your details with an assigned specialist as described above, but not with any government authority.

4. Analytics

We may use third-party analytics providers (such as Google Analytics) to understand how visitors use our website. These providers may use cookies or similar technology to collect data like pages viewed and time on site. You can opt out of Google Analytics using the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on. We do not currently run targeted-advertising cookies or ad networks on the Service; if that changes, we’ll update this Policy.

5. Your Choices

  • Account information. You can access, update, or delete your account details by logging into the portal or contacting us.
  • Marketing emails. You can unsubscribe using the link in any marketing email. We may still send transactional messages (e.g., order confirmations) even if you opt out of marketing.
  • Documents shared for Concierge Services.You can request deletion of documents you’ve shared with us once your engagement is complete, subject to Section 7 (Retention).
  • Cookies. See Section 1.3.

Residents of certain regions have additional rights described in Section 9.

6. Payment Information

Payments for Concierge Services are processed by third-party payment processors called Stripe. We do not store full payment card numbers on our own servers. Your relationship with the payment processor is governed by their own terms and privacy policy.

7. Retention

We retain your information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the Service, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. Documents shared for a Concierge Service engagement are retained only as long as needed to complete that engagement plus a reasonable buffer for support purposes, unless you ask us to delete them sooner or the law requires longer retention.

8. Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we can’t guarantee absolute security, and you provide information at your own risk.

9. Region-Specific Notices

Residents of the European Economic Area / United Kingdom

We act as the “data controller” of personal data described in this Policy. Our legal grounds for processing include: performing our contract with you (providing the Service you’ve requested), your consent (e.g., for marketing emails), our legitimate interests (e.g., improving the Service, preventing fraud), and compliance with legal obligations. Subject to applicable law, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or port your data, restrict or object to certain processing, and withdraw consent at any time. To exercise these rights, contact us at [Privacy Contact Email]. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

California Residents

Under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), California residents may request that we disclose the categories of personal information we’ve collected, the sources, our purposes for collecting it, and the categories of third parties with whom we share it (as described in this Policy). You may also request access to, deletion of, or correction of your personal information. We do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. To exercise your rights, contact us at info@viselia.io; we may need to verify your identity first.

India

If you’re accessing the Service from India, we process your personal data consistent with applicable Indian data protection law, including the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, where applicable. You may contact us at info@viselia.io with questions about how your data is processed or to exercise applicable rights.

Other Jurisdictions

If you reside in a jurisdiction with its own data protection law not specifically addressed above, you may still have rights to access, correct, or delete your information, and can contact us at info@viselia.io to make a request — we’ll do our best to accommodate it consistent with applicable law.

10. Children’s Privacy

The Service isn’t directed at children under 18, and we don’t knowingly collect personal information from unsupervised minors. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we’ll take reasonable steps to delete it.

11. Links to Other Sites

Our Service may link to embassy websites, government portals, or other third-party sites. This Policy doesn’t apply to those sites, and we’re not responsible for their privacy practices. Review their policies before providing them with information.

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or legal requirements. We’ll update the “Last Updated” date above, and for material changes, we’ll make reasonable efforts to notify registered users. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect means you accept the updated Policy.
